Today I’m grateful for clicky lights and my Christmas alarm clock.

I’m back home in Arizona and I’m in full-on Christmas mode. I got the rest of my decorations out this afternoon and I’ve been busy hanging lights and decorating trees all night. My whole heart is merry.

This little remote control (or my clicky lights as I like to call them) is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I have 5 outlets connected to it with Christmas lights plugged in to each one. So, with the simple click of the remote I can light up 5 different areas of my house. No more running around reaching behind furniture to plug in my Christmas lights each time I want them on. Seriously, I love this thing so much.

My excitement for my clicky lights can only be rivaled by the 6 foot Christmas tree in my bedroom that I use as an alarm clock all season long. I have the lights on this tree set to a timer so that I can fall asleep with them on. Then, in the morning, the lights turn on about 10 minutes before my regular alarm goes off. It’s the best start to the morning ever – the lights gently and peacefully wake me up and then I have 10 minutes to lay in my cozy bed admiring the lights and pondering the day before my alarm goes off. It’s truly one of my favorite parts of the Christmas season.
I sure do love me some Christmas lights, and these little bits of Christmas convenience bring me more joy than one could possibly imagine. I’m grateful for them tonight and I know, without a doubt, that I’ll be grateful for them all season long.
