Today I'm thankful for comfort and joy.

I did a thing today. I put up my Christmas tree. It’s definitely the earliest I’ve ever put it up. I blame the pandemic. I only put up the one (so far), and I haven’t decorated it yet. I haven’t touched my other Christmas decoration boxes yet either. But the tree is up. I needed it. I think the world (or at least my world) could benefit from an extra dose of comfort and joy right now, so up went the tree. It makes me really happy.

Today is Veteran’s Day. I’m so very thankful for all those who fought for my freedom. It’s not lost on me that my ability to enjoy a day of comfort and joy is because of them. I pray that I never take that for granted.
