Today I'm thankful for my sticker.

I think it goes without saying that this election season has been rough. The TV ads have been ugly. The news has been ugly. Social media is ugly. The debates have been ugly. I’ve hated every minute of it.
Although the temptation to just hide in my bed and wish it all away definitely existed, I know that it’s my right, and more importantly, my responsibility, to educate myself and vote. I dropped off my early ballot yesterday and proudly wore my sticker today.

I wore the sticker because I’m thankful to live in a country where I have a vote and a voice. I wore the sticker because it shows others that I think voting is important. I wore the sticker in hopes of inspiring others to do the same. And, I also wore that dang sticker as my reward for digging deep into the ugliness and looking for truth and hope.
Also, who do I talk to about adding a 'make your own hat' craft station to polling locations in the future?
