Today I’m thankful to be starting the coming week with a long to-do list and a messy house.

Really Karen? Yeah, really. Hear me out.
Ideally, I like to start off my week well organized, with a clean house, all my laundry done, and the fridge full of pre-portioned meals that I diligently prepped over the weekend. This hardly ever happens, but it would be ideal.
This week I will be starting my week with a gigantic list of things I need to do, unchanged sheets, an unwashed floor and a week’s worth of clutter and random stuff strewn about my house. This is the result of a very, very full weekend. I was busy from Friday afternoon all the way until Sunday night. And it was all wonderful. Work hard and play hard, right? Well, I played hard this weekend. And I gotta say, I’m not mad about it.
Tomorrow morning I need to hit the ground running. And I’m going to need to run hard all week. But everything will get done. Or at least the important things will. They always do.
Does my current, messy, overwhelmed state cause me a wee bit of anxiety? Yeah, it sure does. But am I thankful for it nonetheless? Yeah, I sure am.
